Description
My neighbors feral colony has had another litter. Apparently it seems it may be 2 litters of kittens I have 5 kittens who have spilled over into my barn, they called and said they can hear some kittens in their barn as well. I do not know how many or their colors for their barn cats. I will check this weekend. For now. I have these 5 kittens in my barn I do not want. I do not have outdoor/barn cats myself and my neighbor has been working to reduce his colony but they still reproduce. I found this litter approximately 4 weeks ago this Friday. Their eyes were open and they were barely crawling in their nest. I assume for safety sake they will be 4 weeks this Friday. If you want them you will be responsible for BOTTLE FEEDING them through weening. I know plenty of people take issue with this however it's the ONLY way to domesticate them. I personally have 3 indoor cats that we bottle fed as kittens 3 years ago and they're great. And good with my kids and dogs. They were barely scooting out of their nest when we started bottle feeding them. As I said there are 5 in my barn. From the looks of it (its hard to tell) there are 4 boys 1 girl. The 2 grey are boys I think and 1 or the darker black ones is a girl. Now You also have an opportunity if you're in the need of barn cats and have a trap we can attempt to catch the mother while she's feeding the little ones and you can have them all. However she's very smart and hasn't touched a trap I lay out. Nor can you ever really see her as she's long gone before you get to the barn. They are completely free at this point if you're willing to bottle feed them. If you want the entire litter WITH the mom we can discuss rehoming fees but its to cover the trap and my time trying to catch mom. (The litter is easy to get ahold of at this point). If you're wanting one but later, there may be a rehoming fee if I'm having to try and catch scurrying kittens. But also be warned the older they get the less domesticated they'll be. By 8 weeks they want nothing to do with humans in my experience. Email if you're interested. Pick up only. Map it before contacting. I CANNOT deliver them as they will probably need feeding immediately after the drive to tucson since they'll eat every 1-2 hours. So you have to plan ahead.
