Attendees Will Gain Knowledge of Autism and Suicidality in This Population. ALL ATTENDEES MUST REGISTER FOR THEMSELVES SO THAT WE WILL HAVE AN ACCURATE COUNT TO ORDER LUNCH. LUNCH IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE. NO GROUP REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Objectives for Autism and Suicide 1. Identify 3 common misconceptions regarding Autism that interfere with appropriate risk assessment 2. Verbalize 3 ways to assess the whole person and look past the diagnosis 3. Identify 3 tools from the American Association of Suicidology’s Autism Toolkit that you could implement in your practice. Presenters: LCSW with extensive Crisis experience & experience with individuals with autism in crisis.Board Certified Behavior Specialist with many years of experience with IDD & autistic individuals in crisis.
