We really liked them and they helped us out. Since it was our first home buying experience we appreciated having someone on our side who knows the ins and outs of home buying. However, due to both the listing realtor and our realtor working out of the same office, we had issues. When the listing agent made a huge mistake, possibly an ethical violation, we wanted to report it, and we were told it wasn't recommended. When we insisted because we were out a significant amount of money we were basically told that even though something belonged to us they could use it however they wanted when the sale fell through. It was very frustrating since the "mistake" seemed more like a calculated decision to try and take advantage of first time homebuyers. Until that point we had been very happy with our agent. While the process was stressful they had been answering questions and reassuring us. We just want to make sure no one else learns the very expensive lesson we just did. Always protect yourself in writing, make sure if you pay for anything you actually have ownership of it or get reimbursed if something goes wrong due to the home not meeting contingencies.
