Help qualify a measure to support Washington Hospital

The committee of Citizens for Washington Hospital is looking to place a revenue measure on the ballot for November 2022. We are seeking volunteers to help collect signatures in the East Bay. Ways to Help: Volunteer to collect signatures from friends & family Volunteer and join a team of signature gatherers *must be registered to vote in California to collect signatures* *ask about paid part time and full time positions * BACKGROUND: Washington Hospital opened 60 years ago to serve a community of 18 thousand people. Today, there are well over 365,000 residents in the District and the population continues to grow. The Washington Hospital Healthcare District is comprised of the cities of Fremont, Newark, Union City, Sunol, and South Hayward. The Committee of Citizens for Washington Hospital is proposing that the Washington Hospital Healthcare District establish a $98 parcel tax, if passed, it will help: • Provide local access to life-saving emergency and critical care for heart attacks, strokes, car accidents, cancer, and trauma patients • Ensure that our community has enough highly qualified doctors, nurses, and specialists to serve our healthcare needs • Keep the hospital’s medical equipment and technology up to date PROJECT: Our goal is to collect 21,000 signatures from registered voters in the district by June 27, 2022.
