Gas Prices Drop In Milwaukee, Waukesha, Falls 16 Cents Across State

WISCONSIN — Gas prices in the Milwaukee-Waukesha metro have dropped more than 10 cents on Tuesday since fuel costs in the Badger State peaked at $4 in March, data from Triple A showed. The average price for a gallon of regular gas in Waukesha County was $3.83 and the average price in Milwaukee County was $3.92 on Tuesday, Triple A data showed. Gas prices dropped to $3.84 across Wisconsin — that's 16 cents lower than the $4 average that hovered over the Badger State in March. It's not a deep plunge from when state prices broke $4 on March 9 as Fox 6 Milwaukee reported, it could take tension off of some drivers in southeast Wisconsin. The last record before that was in 2008, just ahead of the U.S. Great Recession and the housing crisis.
