MERIDEN, CT —The Boys & Girls Club of Meriden's Robotics Team called The Gigabots have worked hard to advance to the championship in Dallas, and they're hoping the community will support them in raising $5,000, according to a statement from GoFundMe. So far, they've raised over half their goal. Here's what the team says in their fundraiser pitch: The Boys & Girls Club of Meriden's Robotics Team, the Gigabots, have qualified for the World Championship in Dallas, TX! But need your help to get there. We are raising funds to help pay for the team's entry fees and travel expenses. Below are a few of the areas we would appreciate your assistance with: Robot Entry Fee: $500Youth Travel Expense: $300Hotel Expenses: $200Meal Expenses: $100 Any amount you can contribute to help our team get to Texas would be greatly appreciated.
