Edward’s Violin Studio is pleased to announce scholarship support to help students attend Horizon Strings Camp, 9am to 4pm July 18 - 22, 2022.  The scholarships are for violin, viola, cello, and bass players age 5 - 15. Anyone affiliated with the Morristown Neighborhood House,  or similar community string program in the North New Jersey region may apply. Camp location is the Presbyterian Church of Morris Plains, 400 Speedwell Ave. Students must provide own transportation. This year’s camp will provide a fun and challenging environment based on the proven method of Suzuki instruction. The program will include large ensemble, small ensemble, guest artists, performers of color, and a showcase concert as well as optional solo and ensemble coaching. Our desire is to provide a fully integrated camp representing the full diversity of our communities! All beginners and all levels are welcome to apply. Scholarships can be used for Full Day or or Half Day Tuition, and are based on a combination of need and merit.  Scholarships may also include private instruction to prepare for the camp over the summer at Edward’s Violin Studio located in Morris Township, NJ. At least 6 months instruction prior to camp is encouraged, but if you do not currently have a teacher and are interested, please contact us!
