(Cycle News)A new study found that out-of-state residents moving to Texas is not the primary reason for rising home costs in the Lone Star State. According to a recent report from the Texas Real Estate Research Center, the average cost of a single-family home in the Austin-Round Rock area is $573,123 ⁠— a 45.4 percent increase from the year prior. The study did not find a relationship between migration and housing prices statewide, noting that other factors like a lack of inventory and interest rates are playing a more significant role in the spike.
