Press release from the City of West Hollywood: April 1, 2022 The City of West Hollywood will host three Community Clean-Up events in various locations within the City in April and May 2022. The events will give West Hollywood residents, business owners, community members, and volunteers an opportunity to help beautify the West Hollywood community while engaging with neighbors, local business owners, and West Hollywood City Council members and City staff. Sunday, April 10, 2022 - Mid-City Community Clean-Up Check-in location: City Hall, 8300 Santa Monica Boulevard Check-in: 9 a.m.; Clean-up: 9:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022 - Eastside Community Clean-Up Check-in location: Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard Check-in: 9 a.m.; Clean-up: 9:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022 - Westside Community Clean-Up Check-in location: West Hollywood Park, 647 N. San Vicente Boulevard Check-in: 9 a.m.; Clean-up: 9:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. Volunteers will be provided with cleaning supplies (such as gloves, trash pickers, bags, etc.), water, and snacks. Volunteers will be asked to fan out across the designated area to pick up litter in streets, alleyways, parks, parkways, and other public places. Participants will also be notified to take note of any other community beautification needs that should be reported to City staff, such as graffiti, bulky items, or other issues. Residents, businesses, neighborhood-watch groups, Advisory Boards and Commissions, and other community members are all encouraged to participate. Block by Block Security Ambassadors and some City staff members will also participate and will be available to respond to questions from community members. People of all ages are welcome to participate, but children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Participants must adhere to any City-required COVID-19 safety protocols that may be in place at the time of the event (such as social distancing or wearing a mask).
