Pawsitivity Pet Spa is looking for a gentle pet groomer to join our team. We are a holistic salon that works hard to create a calm and comfortable environment for BOTH our clients and our employees. Do you love grooming dogs, but are getting burned out because of being overworked and underappreciated? Can you imagine a day of grooming where you know all of your dogs by name and you have the time, quiet, and space you need to focus completely on them and enjoy grooming them? We are looking for you! We are a kennel-free salon, grooming all of our clients in individual express appointments, including hand drying. We connect with and educate our human clients about their pets' needs, offer exclusive wellness spa packages, and groom to a high standard. We have time standards that apply to all of our stylists equally, with bonuses for higher efficiency. Our typical hire makes a better income, in a much more comfortable environment than they have experienced in the past, immediately upon starting. If you are tired of the typically stressful grooming environment and are looking for something peaceful and profitable, with an option to advance your career, this is it! 5 years experience required, more preferred. Certifications are appreciated. Please include a portfolio and resume in the application. Must be compassionate towards dogs and love working with them. Preferably have excellent scissor finish skills and a willingness to learn (no matter the experience level,) and have an understanding of standard patterns. Must be able to groom 6-8 dogs a day, straight through (express), and hand drying (velocity and fluff driers) for every appointment. Daily responsibilities include: -Speaking to pet owners and keeping appropriate grooming records -Grooming individual dogs straight through, including bathing and hand drying, to a high standard -Educating owners on appropriate styling and appointment frequency -Educating owners on necessary spa therapies to address skin, coat, or behavioral concerns -Working as a team with the rest of the staff, including maintaining a positive attitude and respectful interactions -Maintaining a calm and comfortable experience for each pet Interested stylists, visit our website at www.pawsitivitypetspa.com to ensure a good fit prior to applying.
