MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morristown's Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen has again been named one of the 30 best restaurants in New Jersey by NJ Monthly Magazine. The eatery, located on South Street, is an American restaurant including a raw bar, a rathskeller and a lounge, all set in a 1917 landmark. Here's what the magazine had to say: With four dining spaces on three levels (and almost as many menus), JHBK used to be one of the more complex operations around. It often served 500 dinners on a Saturday night. Covid-19 simplified things. "Now it's one 65-seat restaurant," says executive chef AJ Capella, "and it's more refined and focused." And it's still busy. Little wonder, given items like Capella's Jersey scallops in brown butter with corn pudding and lemon-verbena shrimp sauce.
