TINLEY PARK, IL — A suspect is still at large after an armed robbery at a Speedway gas station early Saturday morning, police told Patch.
According to officials, two men approached the Speedway at 183rd Street and Harlem Avenue at around 3:30 a.m. but only one went inside. The man inside the store showed the clerk a small semi-automatic handgun, police said, and took cash.
No one was reported injured during the robbery.
Deputy Chief of Operations Lawrence Rafferty told Patch the man got into a car parked in the lot of the gas station and fled the scene before police could arrive.
"There haven't been any arrests, but we are following up on some good investigative leads," Rafferty said Monday.
Police said they will share photos and additional information on the man in the coming days in case residents may identify him.
