County Health Officials Report 156 New COVID-19 Cases, Seven Virus Deaths

By Elizabeth Ireland, Times of San Diego April 5, 2022 The San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency Monday reported 156 new COVID-19 infections and seven additional virus-related deaths. Monday's data increased the county's cumulative coronavirus totals to 751,576 cases and 5,192 deaths. The data follows a weekend with 235 new infections counted Saturday and 219 Sunday. The HHSA does not report COVID data on weekends. A total of 1,213,038 — or 55.6% — of San Diego County residents who are fully vaccinated have received a booster shot, according to the agency. More than 2.95 million — or 93.9% — of San Diego County residents age 5 and older are at least partially vaccinated and 2.59 million, or 82.5%, are fully vaccinated.
