Press release from the Park Ridge Public Library: The Park Ridge Library spring program lineup looks a little more like pre-pandemic life, with several in-person programs for adults and a return to in-person Storytime in the Children's department. The Illinois Libraries Present series of author talks continues: The Library will host the Park Ridge Community Blood Drive on Thursday, April 7, from noon to 5 p.m. To make an appointment, call 847-720-3280 or register online at parkridgelibrary.org. The Park Ridge Public Library Classic Film Series resumes its "Legends of Laughter" series after the events were postponed in March 2020. No registration is required, but attendance is limited to 50 people. An array of opportunities for lifelong learning – including presentations for families and a live concert for adults -- will be held this spring: The Studio and Media Lab have returned to in-person classes including an origami paper dress greeting card and an instructional demonstration of the Cricut Design Space software. Popular recurring programs like the Writers Group, Chair Yoga are offered in both in-person and virtual formats. Additionally, the Open Knitting and Crocheting Nights will continue on the first Thursday of each month, and all levels are welcome. For additional creative options, a May 3 painting workshop and a May 31 craft workshop on felting, both sponsored by Marion's Mark, will round out the season.
