MANCHESTER, NH — Police in Manchester are investigating a motor vehicle accident that left a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries. Around 8:45 p.m., police were sent to Granite Street between Old Granite and Elm for a crash report. When they arrived, they found an SUV that had struck two pedestrians. A Hollis man, 59, was driving a Honda CR-V when it struck two pedestrians — a 46-year-old man from Hooksett and a 45-year-old man from Bedford. "The driver was not injured as a result of the crash," Sgt. Michael Donahue of the Manchester Police Department said. "One of the pedestrians sustained life-threatening injuries, and the second sustained serious injuries from the crash." The crash is still under investigation. As part of the investigation, Granite Street was closed for several hours. The road, Donahue said, was cleared and opened for normal traffic patterns. Anyone with information is asked to contact Manchester's traffic unit at 603-668-8711. Got a news tip? Send it to [email protected].
