Description
SANTA ROSA, CA — No injuries were reported when part of a building collapsed Sunday in downtown Santa Rosa.
The Santa Rosa Fire Department was dispatched at 11:50 a.m. to reports of a possible fire and partial building collapse at a business in the 600 block of Fourth Street.
Firefighters found a brick facade and blue awning had come crashing down onto the sidewalk in front of the business.
Firefighters determined there was no fire and that the smoke reported by witnesses was dust from the collapse.
The business, which was closed at the time, had visible damage to the front windows.
The debris was searched for any possible victims but none were found, the fire department said.
Footage of the collapse was caught by a nearby surveillance camera.
