Enrollment notifications for 2022-2023 If you participated in the 2022-2023 student enrollment process, you should have received an email yesterday with information about your child's placement. That email included both your child's placement and any waitlists that your child is on. You do not need to take any action to accept your student's placement. You may, however, choose to decline the assigned placement and will find instructions for how to do that in the email. If you participated in the 2022-2023 enrollment process but did not receive an email, please email the enrollment center at [email protected]. Second enrollment window opens Monday, April 4 Our second enrollment window for the 2022-2023 school year will open on Monday, April 4! If you missed the enrollment window in January and February, you still have a chance to explore all of the learning options available for your child next year. Are currently on a transfer at any district school who want to stay at their school. Only want to attend their neighborhood school. Currently attend pre-kindergarten and want to remain at their current school of enrollment. 2022-2023 school calendar At the regular board meeting on Monday, April 4, our Board of Education will consider the proposed calendar for next school year. As in prior years, the calendar development process includes input from district team members, the Tulsa Classroom Teachers Association (TCTA), the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), and school leaders. We also surveyed a group of parents to gather feedback on potential changes. The calendar is designed and then presented to the Tulsa Board of Education for approval. Pending board approval and contract negotiations with TCTA and AFT, the 2022-2023 school year calendar would include an orientation day for students on Tuesday, Aug. 16; this orientation day was added based on the positive feedback we received from families and team members about our 2021-2022 orientation days. The first day of school would be on Thursday, Aug. 18 and the last day would be on Thursday, May 25. The proposed calendar follows a traditional fall, winter, and spring break schedule; there would be no February break. Our 2022-2023 calendar, like those for each of the three prior years, is designed to exceed state requirements while also supporting learning and minimizing student absences by avoiding short weeks.
