Press release from the Savannah Police Department: Bianca Johnson April 5th, 2022 SAVANNAH, GA. (April 5, 2022): Savannah Police detectives are investigating an April 4 shooting that resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to a 31-year-old man. Around 7:40 p.m. officers responded to the 1000 block of Montgomery Street for a ShotSpotter alert and discovered an unoccupied vehicle that had been struck by gunfire. Sometime later the victim arrived at Memorial Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound to the lower leg. The victim had been struck by gunfire while driving through the area. The vehicle he had been traveling in also had ballistics damage. The investigation remains ongoing. Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
