Easter Sunrise Services Return To Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park, April 17 Easter sunrise services return to Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park on April 17 beginning at 6:00 a.m. after a two-year hiatus because of COVID 19. The service takes place in the parking lot of the main building, 5600 Lindero Canyon Road in Westlake Village. This is a nondenominational service, and is sponsored by the Conejo Valley Interfaith Association. “This year’s Easter Sunrise Service provides an important way to bring the community back together again in a safe and memorable way as we celebrate the start of a new and wonderful day together,” said Christine Ondesko, general manager, Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park. “It is important to us to offer this service after what has been a long and stressful time for everyone. We hope you will join us for this meaningful event.” Clergy representatives from churches throughout the community will concelebrate the service. Participants include The Reverend Dr. Gary Alan Dickey, United Methodist Church, Ret., The Reverend Rachel Tabutol, United Methodist Church of Westlake Village, The Reverend David Rohde, Westminster Presbyterian Church of Westlake Village, and Terry Paulson, Ph.D., New Hope Lutheran Church of Agoura. Music will be provided by soloist Karenjo Crump, United Methodist Church of Westlake Village and Joe Marquez, keyboardist. A release of white doves concludes the service, symbolizing love, peace, and hope for the future. The Easter Sunrise Service is free and open to the public.
