Looking for a part-time employee for my small urban farm in Pacific Beach! Details: ~8 hours/week of work spread across 2-3 days. $15/hr via Venmo, Apple Pay or Zelle. Who are we? We are Emery Farms, San Diego. A small microgreen grower & supplier to local restaurants in San Diego. What are microgreens? Microgreens are the adolescent form of veggies - cilantro, radish, peas, arugula, and mustard, to name a few. How are they grown? They’re grown on vertical wire commercial storage racks, under t5 florescent grow lights, in 10x20” plastic flats of soil. Depending on the variety, some microgreens can be grown in 10 days, with the longest cycle lasting 21 days from seed to harvest! Who are you? You’re excited to learn the whole process of how to supply food to restaurants - from sowing the seed, germinating, watering, introducing to light, harvesting, cooling, packaging & delivering.
