Hound Lounge is a busy high-end grooming salon and dog daycare in search of a Manager. We’re the most premier pet care facility in the Walnut Creek area and our award-winning services include high quality doggie day care and full-service dog grooming and bathing. We’re seeking an animal-savvy individual interested in helping care for the animals entrusted to us. If you LOVE dogs and are interested in becoming involved in this rewarding industry, this IS the role for you!! We are looking for a friendly, detail oriented professional to greet our lovely four and two legged clients and manage scheduling of clients and the team. The individual we hire must be people-oriented, outgoing, and love working with animals. 30 to 35 hours a week. We are always willing to try to work the schedule toward what is best for our employees and we have no vacation time limit. We're looking for someone who is: Friendly and welcoming Happy to assist on any project, within reason, that is given Detail oriented A quick learner Organized and efficient Comfortable assisting clients with questions and concerns Fluent with contemporary computer skills This person's responsibilities will include: Processing payroll every other week Answering incoming calls and scheduling appointments Supervising our small dog daycare (playtime, feedings, potty breaks, etc) Assisting groomers and bathers when needed (holding dogs for nail trims, lifting into tubs, etc.) Updating schedule and computer logs through the day, contacting clients when needed. The individual we hire will need to be able to learn our software program, be comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and be able to lift 40 plus lbs. Compensation DOE. Front desk experience and experience working with animals a major plus, but not required. Punctuality and reliability are important.
