Corfini Gourmet, a successful and growing meat and seafood distributor along the Pacific North West is looking for additional people to join our team! MEAT PROCESSING/PRODUCTION: The Butcher/Meat Cutter cuts, trims or prepares consumer-sized portions of meat to fill customer orders in a timely and consistent manner for daily delivery routes as well as stock meat for inventory and ensure quality and freshness throughout the work week by performing the following duties: • Smokes, cures, creates recipes and makes bacon! • Cuts, prepares, grinds and handles all meat, poultry and seafood in accordance with company standards • Cut meat by weight specification (Portion control); Prepare all product to specification of customers’ orders • Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met • Sharpen and adjust cutting equipment • Store product in refrigerators/freezers at required temperature • Report and resolve food safety issues • Clean work area to maintain health and sanitation standards • Break down production equipment and prepare machinery for the next shift • Participate in ongoing training sessions • Other general production duties as required Qualifications & Skills: • Demonstrated skill in meat cutting, wrapping and handling • Excellent communication, organizational and multitasking skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to follow sanitation dress code standards • Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion and lifting up to 50lbs regularly • Ability to work in warehouse environment in areas with variations of temperatures (cooler / freezer) • Must be at least 18 years of age DELIVERY DRIVER: • Load truck with boxed orders scheduled for the days deliveries • Help determine most effective order of delivery and prepare a schedule-showing order to be followed. • Deliver orders and get receiving slips signed • Use cell phone to report on progress of deliveries, or resolve issues and concerns • Pick up returns and items for use by the company. Verify goods received against invoices and signed receipts. • Maintain simple records of deliveries and truck mileage • Follow maintenance schedule for have truck serviced. Take other vehicles for service when instructed to do so. Report and mechanical problems to the supervisor. • Assist in general warehouse duties upon completing delivery route • Clean both the interior and exterior of the delivery vehicle on a daily basis Job Skills & experience: • Knowledge of highway rules and regulations • Ability to read directions and use street map to plot delivery route • Experience in using truck controls properly • Ability to think and move quickly and react properly when the unexpected happens and continually review what reaction could be taken in numerous emergency situations. • Problem solving skills • Clear and efficient communication skills, both verbal and written • Must be able to maintain confidentiality, trust and dependability • High level of integrity • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record • Forklift certified a plus! • Previous delivery experience preferred. On the job training provided WAREHOUSE: • Receiving and pulling product to fill orders for some of the best restaurants and food service operators from all over the west coast • Load trucks according to company specifications for maximum delivery accuracy • Follow sanitation requirements set forth by company Job Requirements: • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Detail oriented • Basic computer literacy • Excellent communication skills • 18+ Years of Age
