Calling all College Students on Summer Break or New Graduate High School Students! Have you lined up your summer job yet? Seasonal Workers - City of Gig Harbor - Immediate Need! FT | Days | M-F | 8am – 5pm | Some Weekend OT Start Date/Duration: May – September $18.00 HRLY The Gig Harbor Public Works Department needs you! Come help keep our city parks, streets and public use places neat, in good repair and sanitary so everyone can have a great summer! Work will include some grounds keeping, landscaping, picking up debris off streets and trails, cleaning public use facilities, changing lightbulbs, pressure washing, some light building repair, weed whacking, and the like. You might even get to drive a company vehicle! The work is physical in nature and can be strenuous. You should be familiar with the usual hand and power tools, plus be able to lift 25 lbs. You’ll be working outside 90% of your days - weather gear & steel toed boots needed! Luckily, we tend to have beautiful summers here, despite the rain! To qualify you must be 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license and clear driving record. You will also need to pass a background check and drug screen. TRUST US: THIS IS A FUN GIG! ARE YOU IN?
