Mountain Auto Repair, located in North Boulder, is hiring a full-time office assistant.
Hours are Monday-Friday 9:30-5:30.
The office assistant is primarily responsible for customer communication (over phone, email, and in person), taking customer payments, ordering and returning parts, filing paperwork, creating work orders for the mechanics, tidying/cleaning the office, and assisting the owner in a variety of office tasks as needed. There can be a lot of variety to the job and opportunities to learn. Training will be on the job, and this position takes long-term training to become proficient in. We are looking for someone who wants a long-term position.
Candidates must have strong communication and customer service skills, be able to work independently, have multi-tasking abilities, and be willing and able to learn the straight-forward software programs used on the office computer. Personality fit and interest in this position are more important than related work experience. Potential flexibility of full-time hours for the right fit, but reliability is essential.
We are a small independently run shop, with a loyal customer base and solid reputation for our honesty and integrity. Getting to know the regular customers is a great aspect of this position. A knowledge of cars is a plus, but not necessary - an interest in learning is important, as this position requires communication with customers about the mechanics' diagnoses and fixes.
Casual but professional atmosphere. We are not a dealership, but a small local shop.
Starting rate is $13-18/hr, DOE.
