Position Summary The Custodian I position is critical in providing a clean and sanitary environment by performing housekeeping, cleaning, repairs, painting, and waste collection services in all buildings and areas of the CSU Health Network. This position is benefits-eligible, works 20 hours a week Monday – Friday, and generally works a 4-hour schedule between the hours of 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm. These hours may vary slightly between the hours of 4:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. depending on business needs. This position may also need to provide building access and security through snow removal services both within the regular Monday through Friday work schedule for the Health Network as well as on weekends and during inclement weather closures as necessary to service building partners. Essential Job Duties Clean and maintain building interiors, following sanitary standards: Wash, wipe, dust, scrub, scour, disinfect, vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish surfaces, floors, walls, windows, blinds, lavatories, mirrors, furnishings, and fabric. Deep Cleaning Shampoo carpets and upholstery Exterior Provide snow removal services within the regular Monday through Friday work schedule for the Health Network as well as on weekends and during inclement weather closures as necessary to service building partners, when requested Spread various products on exterior ground surfaces to de-ice to prevent staff, patients, and visitors from falling Laundry Collect soiled laundry in the Health Network and sort/prepare for delivery to off-site service Fold and put away clean laundry Sweep, mop, and scrub all hard floors to keep clean and eliminate scuff marks and scratches Vacuum carpeted floors and upholstered furniture Assist in repairs Paint walls and floors up to 20 feet high using scaffolding, and extension methods Move furniture Gather recyclable materials Sort by bin for collection Gather non-recyclable items Replace trash liners and discard waste into the dumpster Collect and dispose of biohazard in proper receptacles Interested Applicants, please submit your application by April 11, 2022, no later than 11:59 p.m. (MST) at the following link:
