Nauti Dayz Boat Rentals Job Description Title: Dock Hand Reports to: Office Manager Summary of Position: To perform the day-to-day activities of the operations of the Marina. Duties & Responsibilities:  Carries out Morning and end of day check list.  Preforms customer checklist thoroughly and makes sure customer understands how the boat operates and where all safety equipment is located.  Handle spring lines and assist with boats entering the slips. If it is windy ask other dock hands or manager for assistance. Especially for side wind approaches.  Pumps fuel and maintain accurate fuel records.  Monitors hand held radio’s while at the marina (even during lunch)  Responsible for the safekeeping and return of the hand held radio.  Walks the dock watches for chafed dock lines or loose lines or cords in the water.  Informs operations manager of any upcoming leaves of absence from work so proper scheduling can be arranged.  Informs operations manager of any commitments that may take you from your work site so proper coverage can be arrange.  Performs routine maintenance on the following marina items:  a. Boats i. Make clean and presentable and trash free. ii. Make sure all vessels have proper safety equipment. iii. Return keys at the end of the day iv. Properly tied so they do not get scratched. v. All boats fueled after each use.  Works with other staff members to remove all trash, garbage, batteries and miscellaneous debris is clear of the marina walkways and dock areas and direct clients to the proper refuse receptacle in the parking lot.  Removes extraneous trash and debris from the docks and walkways.  Notifies Office Manager when taking lunch to ensure proper staffing  Other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time. Minimum Requirements:  18+ years old  High comfort level around water  Knowledge of dock terminologies  Skill in line handling  Ability to drive a boat  Ability to swim  Willingness to learn of First Aid and fire prevention Supervisory Responsibility: None Working Conditions:  Pull, haul, lift, and carry at least 40 pounds.  Frequently boarding boats  Exposure to fuel  Cannot use personal cellular device on the dock Success Factors:  Good people skills  Ability to recognize poor maneuvering of boats(danger signals)  Meeting deadlines  Attentiveness to details  Assisting customers with belongings
