BUILDING/EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE & REPAIR BACKUP CASKET DELIVERY DRIVER/TRAINER This new hybrid position will primarily focus on the maintenance and repair of our plant’s buildings, machinery, equipment and rolling stock. No "certifications" required. Most vehicle repairs & maintenance are done at a qualified repair shop. This position will conduct minor truck and trailer repairs along with our plant's upkeep. Scope of work will include any maintenance or repair that safely falls within the employee’s skill level. We anticipate this role will fill approximately 80% of worked hours. This position will also help train and support casket delivery, being responsible for training new delivery drivers and delivering caskets as needed during the driver’s absence or during times of increased demand. The position will be classified as non-exempt, Monday-Friday with overtime as needed and approved by their supervisor. Responsibilities: • Maintain buildings, machinery, equipment and rolling stock in a safe, operational condition. • Conduct preventative maintenance in order to assure safety, uninterrupted use and prolong lifespan. • Repair buildings, machinery, equipment and rolling stock within the safe scope of employee’s skills and abilities. • Coordinate with third-party contractors any maintenance or repairs beyond employee’s abilities. • Train new casket delivery drivers. Fill in when needed. Required skills: • Proficient in welding. • Excellent M&R skills for building and machinery. • Knowledge of small engine M&R. • Understanding of hydraulic systems and their troubleshooting. • Knowledge of all applicable OSHA safety requirements. Other requirements: • Driver’s license with acceptable driving record. • Current DOT medical card (can be obtained after employment) A $1,500 bonus will be paid upon successful completion of your 90 days of service.
