We are looking for someone who can reach out potential compensated host families ! You can reach out potential host families through your personal network, social media or whatever the way. You will be reimbursed $500 every host family you referrer us, once they start hosting our student, and they stay at least 2 weeks. We are looking for Host Families to host international students coming to UAlbany campus. We have partnered with many universities nation wide for 24 years to assist their international students in many ways, but mainly by providing homestay so students can live with American families. We have nation wide operations from New York to California and are partnered with many reputable schools (please see our web site at www.azhomestay.com ). We welcome international students from all over the world, but mainly from Japan. We place approximately 1,000 students annually nation wide. We consistently recruit host families located in good proximity from the UAlbany campus (80 min by public transportation door to door). Our students are college age and they are full time student of UAlbany. “Hosting” does not mean being a baby sitter at all. They are busy. We would like host family to interact with them little when you have time. Sharing dinner may be the great opportunity for that. Of course a single person can become our host too. Unlike a high school exchange program, this is a compensated program. First and foremost, we would like to emphasize benefit of hosting is a great opportunity of global awareness for host family themselves. Please see the highlight of our homestay program: 1. Students attend the UAlbany campus, and they are mainly from Japanese universities. 2. Typical length of stay is one semester, but some stay only four weeks. Students arrive year- round. 3. Minimum length of commitment for hosting is 4 weeks. 4. Compensation is $820 every four weeks per student for furnished private bedroom (bathroom may be shared, host family provides dinner and self served breakfast). 5. Host family can host up to 4 students. Each student needs a private furnished bedroom. A single person can become our host family too. 6. Students take public transportation going to UAlbany, so host family is not responsible for transportation. 7. Host family need to be located within 80 min. door to door by public transportation. 8. Home visit to answer all questions. 9. Our students are fully vaccinated by FDA approved vaccines for COVID-19. Host families enjoy the lasting experience of sharing their home with international students. They also learn another country's culture and share American culture with them.
