Description
BOULDER, CO — A climber died Friday after he fell from the Second Flatiron while he was scrambling, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said.
Rescuers were called to the area around 8:45 a.m., and rangers with the City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks arrived at 9:22 a.m. The rangers tried to resuscitate the climber, and the Boulder Fire Department and American Medical Response arrived to help; however, he was pronounced dead at 9:45 a.m., officials said.
Detectives with the Boulder County Sheriff's Office and investigators with the Boulder County Coroner's Office were called to the Second Flatiron to investigate. Volunteer rescue personnel from Rocky Mountain Rescue Group brought the climber's body down from the area
The age and identity of the climber have not been released.

Foul play is not suspected, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said.
The climber's identity and his cause and manner of death will be determined by the Boulder County Coroner's Office.
