Description
Hi again! I'm reposting Loki. We found him in the road just before Christmas and have been fostering him since. Yes we reported him found through animal control, no his owners never came. No chip, no collar, no tattoos or indication of ownership. He's a 2 y/o treeing walker coonhound in dire need of training. He's not housebroken and seems to prefer being outside anyways. He's always hungry and needs to be monitored when around food (he will eat trash, other animals food, even dog poop if left allowed to). We took him to the vet and paid for all his vaccines and even discovered and went through the process of getting rid of his heartworms. He is not neutered but based on behavior issues our vet does not suggest breeding. He is not good around other dogs or children, he will fight other dogs (especially males) and pee and cower around little ones and act defensively. He is very sweet with my husband and I and loves lots of pets and is always wagging his tail. I would love to keep him but with his behavior towards our children and other dogs I'm afraid we're not the best fit for him. If adopted we need to know you would be willing to continue his care through animal academy in suffolk as they have all his medical history and have taken him through his heartworm surgeries and medications and would like to continue to track that. No pet fee just evidence of care, and good will. No puppy mills!!
