Arvada's Retired K-9 Officer Beaker Dies

ARVADA, CO — A beloved, retired Arvada K-9 officer died this week, the Arvada Police Department announced Wednesday. "Officer Brian Laas was Beaker's handler from 2011-2017," the department said. "Officer Beaker made dozens of arrests and saved countless suspects and officers while on the job." Laas cared for Beaker over the past few years, and had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye.
