An annual project of Uhuru Furniture and the African People's Education and Defense Fund (APEDF), building economic self-reliance & carrying on the movement for African self-determination from the '60s to today!
The black community today faces homelessness, imprisonment, unemployment, poverty and early death at higher rates than in the 1960s.
Uhuru Furniture and the African People's Education and Defense Fund (APEDF.org):
Publicly stand for the human and civil rights of the African community.
Lead programs for economic development, job training, employment, education and health through the Uhuru Movement's 50+ institutions of African self-determination.
Push back gentrification by providing high quality, low-cost furniture and housewares.
Support the Black Power Blueprint project, which is renovating abandoned buildings in St. Louis, MO.

- Distribute literature to spread the word about Uhuru Furniture and the APEDF programs
- Lunch for volunteers
