Home Remodeling $12-19 hr
Jobs
Las Vegas NV
Description
Hello, I am looking for 1 or 2 hard workers, who are in good physical condition and can assist me in completing my home remodeling project. Your Skill Level is not as important as your WORK ETHIC! I will be remodeling my 4/3 2200 square foot home in north Las Vegas (off Ann & Decatur). We will begin with ceramic tile installation, then new baseboards. After tile & baseboards are installed, we will begin remodeling the 3 bathrooms & kitchen. Finally, the entire interior will be painted (walls, baseboards & ceilings). This work project should take 3-4 months to complete. I am 58 years old & have remodeled several homes & businesses over the last 40 years. I don’t claim to be an expert carpenter, but I’ve experienced enough construction projects to know what needs to be done & how it should be completed. I will pay CASH (no taxes) at the end of each work week. Pay Scale: $12 to $19 per hour, depending on 3 criteria: 1) your skill level, 2) your work ethic (effort) & 3) the total number hours you WORK each week (does not include lunch breaks or “early morning coffee klatch”) Regarding your wage, if you factor in that there will be no taxes deducted from your pay, you should quickly realize that my pay scale is very competitive. If you were to work as 1099 independent contractor, you would probably have to pay the federal government 20-30% of your total wages earned. Just something to consider. If I feel you have not worked up to “basic” labor standards, I will decide to either pay you less or ask you not to return. I will have all the necessary tools, but if you have your own tools, that would be a plus. You should have reliable transportation to come to work each day. However, I will consider hiring those who take ride-share or public transportation, as long as you prove to be reliable & consistent. You can work 4 to 6 days per week, Monday-Saturday. I am flexible on the number of days, as long as you can commit to a minimum of 4 days per week. Work hours: Again, I am flexible, as long as you can commit a minimum of 6 hours per day, but no more than 8 hours per day. I will not pay for your lunch breaks. You can take 30 minutes or 1 hour, it is your choice. Of course, water breaks are acceptable throughout the day. However, if I feel you are “milking the clock” I will either dock your pay or ask you not to return. Work days should begin at 8:30 or 9 am. However, if you want to start later & work later, I’m flexible on this. I just ask that we complete the work day no later than 6pm. The “time clock” starts when you actually start working, not when you show up to the job site (my home). You will quickly see that I am friendly, honest & fair. If you are as well, then we should not have any conflicts. I am more interested in hiring a “hard worker” than hiring an “expert” (know it all). If I see that you are an honest, hard worker, with a good (pleasant) attitude, then I will probably pay you more, based on those aspects alone. However, if you are an “expert,” but only give a mediocre work effort, then I will probably ask you not to return. I want to give you a heads up that we have dogs. I will do my best to keep them away so they will not distract us too much. I know this was a lot of information, but I wanted you to know what to expect with this job, hopefully there will be no surprises. Remember: If you are in good physical condition, can deliver an honest day’s work, day in & day out, with a good (pleasant) attitude, then you are exactly the person I am looking for! Thanks for taking the time to read my ad. Please TEXT ME FIRST. I will then set up a time to call you back. I look forward to hearing from you! Respectfully, Rick
