Seasonal independent oceanfront hotel in South Yarmouth, MA is seeking a maintenance supervisor for 4 to 5 days per week: Mon. to Thurs. or Mon. to Fri. The job is available for the right candidate to start now and will continue until mid-November. Future off-season/winter projects can be discussed. Once our hotel opens on May 20th, the shift begins at 7:30 AM and finishes at 3:30 PM. Before opening, this schedule can be more flexible and additional hours may be available. The job will include troubleshooting and fixing a wide array of unexpected maintenance issues, caring for our swimming pool, managing exchange student helpers, grounds upkeep, pre and post season carpentry, construction, remodeling, painting, landscaping. The candidate we hire must get along well with the public as this job will often include interacting with hotel guests. Per decree of our insurance carrier, the candidate we hire will have to undergo a criminal background check. It is our hope that the candidate we hire will return for subsequent years, which our maintenance supervisors traditionally have in the past. We have had much success filling this position with persons retired from year-round, full-time careers but looking to stay active on a more part-time, seasonal schedule.
