Hi I’m John Caldwell, drum instructor at the Music Academy Asheville. I have BA in music from UNC Chapel Hill. I love teaching drums to kids and adults at my studio in West Asheville above Music City. I teach rudimentary work, sight reading, and fun rock and roll songs. Students get a weekly transcription and their choice of an easy, a medium, or a tough tune. We have a great time learning to read and play anything from the Foo Fighters to Steely Dan to Toto to Run DMC! Several of my students have been at the academy with me for over 7 years, my students tend to stick around! Thanks for reading!
