Texas Scenic Company is looking for an experienced Local Driver / Field Support Assistant. The position is approximately 25% driving box truck within a 4-5 hour radius of New York City. 75% is packing tools and hardware for our Field installation teams. Responsibilities: • Deliver finish and raw materials safety, diligently, and undamaged to clients and construction sites • Collect and verify delivery instructions • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance • Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts • Pull and Pack tools and hardware per load lists • Keep track of and submit load lists and packing slips to your supervisor Requirements: • Current and Valid Commercial Driver’s License • Valid DOT medical card • Experience driving Box trucks in New York City • Familiarity with the streets and highways in and around New York City • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations especially those in New York City • Ability to identify, pull, and count hardware • Ability to identify basic construction tools and check for safe and correct operation • Ability to load, unload and safely secure many different types of material, from delicate finished material, to heavy structural steel • Hours are generally 6:00 am to 2:30 PM. Must be able to work overtime during the week and occasionally on the weekends • Must be able to come in early and stay late depending on delivery schedule • Ability to arrive to work at the required time to ensure on-time deliveries • Must have reliable transportation to work every morning
