Book Signing at Veterans United Veterans Brewery. Book sales will go to The Fire Watch, Florida's fight to end veteran suicide. LOCAL AUTHOR PARTNERS WITH VETERAN OWNED BREWERY TO RAISE AWARENESS FOR VETERANS IN CRISIS Book Signing and Author Meet and Greet. Proceeds to benefit The Fire Watch-Florida’s Fight to End Veteran Suicide. WHAT: Book Signing and Author Meet and Greet Fundraiser, Saturday, April 16. The event will start at 5 pm with a book signing of Blue Sky Gone, a 9/11 based novel written by J.S Farmer. Attendees will be able to purchase books on-site, meet the author, and have the book signed. Munchies Food Truck will be on-site at approximately 6 pm. There will be a comedy show hosted by the brewery at 8 pm. Proceeds from books sales during this event will go directly to The Fire Watch. At least 20 U.S. veterans are taking their lives every day. To date, solutions to prevent suicide have been inadequate at best. Federal solutions have had little to no effect on the crisis on the ground here in Florida. Given that Florida is home to over 1.5 million veterans, the need and the challenge are evident.
