Assist clients in joint freeing movements, find the edge of movement patterns and provide appropriate stretches for improved mobility. Taught by Lise Flora Waugh, MS, C-IAYT, LMT3 CEs for LMTs**PLEASE NOTE** This is the IN PERSON event. There is a corresponding live-streamed event you can register for if you do not want to attend in person.It is expected those attending are following the vaccination requirements of our healthcare license.Masks will be required to attend the in-person offering. In this hands-on class, you will be guided through techniques to enhance your current massage practice. Assisting clients in joint freeing movements, finding the edge of movement patterns and providing appropriate stretches for improved mobility and ease. This work comes from the lens of Traditional Thai Massage. Students will learn proper positioning for their own body as well as the safety of the client, table height, and discuss issues around draping as needed. In order for the receiver to be comfortable and enjoy the process, the giver must be comfortable as well. Please bring a massage table, sheets and wear comfortable clothing. About the presenter: MS Kinesiology, BS Dance/Biology/Equestrian Science. NW Academy of Massage graduate. Lise has been studying and practicing Thai Massage since 2000, assistant teaching from 2002-2009, and continues to teach "apprentice style" now. Certified with Alastair McLaughlin in 2018 for the McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release technique, Lise has been contracted to teach MSTR® for him since 2019. Active student of Gil Hedley, attending dissection labs every/other year pre-pandemic- now zooming on a regular basis "staying connected to the lab" A certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and active participant since 2002, Lise teaches Yoga therapy and gentle Yoga at her studio, The Metta Center in Bellingham, where she also practices bodywork full time. On a more personal note- I have a huge passion for travel, and pre-covid would attend international courses to study with many great teachers each year. Looking forward to resuming this passion. My husband and I live on a farm and at this writing we tend to our 40 year old Morgan Horse gelding, 17 year old Coton deTulear, 16 year old Border Collie and a young Pitsky pup named Una Luna.
