Plant Medicine & Herbalism: A People’s Medicine Series with Abolitionist Community Herbalist, Venus Zephyr Plant Medicine & Wisdom are our Indigenous Roots & Birthright. No Matter what culture or tradition we come from or where our people originate from all of our ancestors used and utilized plants medicine and healing traditions. The plants growing up outside our front doors, in our back yards, native regions and indigenous homes have always been used for nutrition, overall wellness, healing, longevity and vibrant health. Plant Medicine, Herbalism, Folk Medicine Traditions, Spiritual Botanika & Craft have ALWAYS been a peoples medicine. Join instructor, Venus Zephyr, for a hands-on exploration into the art form of plant medicine and herbalism, a skill-sharing series designed to give you basic tools and practical wisdom about using plant medicine on a daily basis and incorporating a variety of plant medicine making traditions into your own traditions & rituals. PART 1: INFUSIONS & TEAS: WATER BASED MEDICINE MAKING Tea Blending & Crafting are as ancient as plants themselves. In this session of our people’s medicine series we’ll dive into handcrafting, blending and plant pairing that is medicinal, nutritious and flavorful. Water based Medicine is easily crafted, bio available nutrition for our immune, nervous digestive and lymphatic systems. Herbal Teas & Infusions are highly versatile and effective medicines we can easily incorporate into our herbal medicine chests & daily routines to boost our immune system & support overall vibrant health & wellness. Come ready to get into it with an open mind to what medicine & health can be. No previous experience with herbal medicine is required. $10, includes all materials and containers.
