Earth Day is just around the corner and we’re celebrating it with Bronx native, multi-genre author, and long-time LO NYC friend, Alcy Leyva! (En español más abajo) Earth Day is just around the corner and we’re celebrating it with Bronx native, multi-genre author, and long-time LO NYC friend, @alcyleyva! Alcy will be guiding us through a walk and writing workshop at the historic Untermyer Gardens in Yonkers. The finely-graveled route will be mostly flat with some stairs (wheel-accessible pathways are available, too). Throughout the workshop, we’ll explore the beautiful plant sculptures and architecture while pausing to reflect and write through some creative prompts. We’ll also be raffling copies of Alcy’s latest book anthology, “Dead of Winter”! Notepads, pencils, and snacks will be provided to all participants. The Gardens can be reached by car or NYC and Westchester public transit. Register at the link in our bio.
