Peggy's Porch Party Benefit with Pat Byrne and many more! Dear Friends of Peggy's Porch, As most of you know, this is Peggy's Porch Party's 10th year hosting house concerts and we currently have a waiting list of 30+ bands waiting to play at our venues. We earned the reputation of the "best venue" in town during COVID. We canceled many shows over the past two years because of COVID and weather, but 2022 has allowed us to schedule makeup shows and we currently have a full schedule for 2022. Even during the Covid years of 2020 and 2021, we paid Austin musicians over $27,000. We appreciate your support and we couldn't do it without you. Thank you so much! Keeping a house concert series alive ain't easy! Our goal is to continue to give 100% of ticket sales to the artists. We know that Austin artists have been struggling...especially over the past two years. They have experienced countless canceled events and now find that they have lost many of their former venues. Every show costs the host out of pocket--- we pay for sound and livestream costs, marketing, food and beverages for the band, event preparation including mosquito spray, firewood, portable toilets and more. We are determined to keep it going and our goal is to make the entire venture break even for our venues. Remember, Peggy's Porch Party is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. In addition to paying our performers, we raise awareness for our local nonprofits by providing them an opportunity to come to one of our events and raise awareness for their particular cause. To date, we have raised awareness for Alzheimer's Association, Casa Marianella, Casa of Travis County, Imagine A Way, Ninas Arriba, Partnerships for Children, SIMS Foundation, and Tree Folks of Austin. Recently, one musician encouraged us to throw a house concert and said he would donate his time. We now have 9-10 artists who have graciously offered to perform in support of our mission. We hope you will too! We have some great donations - silent auction and raffle! It's gonna be an incredible evening with cool acts! We also have snacks, drinks and chairs. Our Lineup for this evening includes the following: Pat Byrne, Miggy Milla & Tje Austin (Peggy's Porch Party Board Members), Ray Prim, Chris Hawkes (Dawn & Hawkes), Natalie Price, Sasha Klare-Ayvazian (American Dreamer), Jenny Reynolds, Scott Strickland & Eddie Schmidt, AJ Vallejo, and maybe a few more.
