"Railroad Trivia:" Bruce Flohr, speaker Bruce Flohr is a freight company executive: Founder and CEO of RailTex, Inc. San Antonio since 1977, Deputy Administrator of the Federal Road Administration, and Assistant Trainmaster, division superintendent, Southern Pacific Railroad. He is also a Past District Governor of Rotary South Central Texas District 5840 of Rotary International and active in many San Antonio area charities. He holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Stanford University, and a M.S. in Industrial Administration, Purdue University. Come and meet the community service professional volunteers at Northwest Rotary Club, members of Rotary International, the largest service organization in the world. Rotary has a mission of World Peace through service, locally and worldwide, for people and communities. Learning more about our community, outreach, and being good neighbors is how a Rotary Club finds service projects to support people and communities. We do that at lunch meetings on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of every month, where we enjoy fellowship and learn. In existence since 1956, Northwest Rotary Club and its members have created a sizeable Charitable Fund to help support its charities. Rotary is especially well structured for working people, from home or office, as well as stay-at-home spouses, searching for a way to help the communtiy, learn participation and leadership, and those making new contacts and friends. Our regular meetings are at Outback Steakhouse with lunch for $16 per person. You can attend a meeting Zoom for free, or the meeting with the lunch, after registering. The regular meeting of the Rotary Club of San Antonio, Northwest, meeting on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month. Since 1956, Northwest Rotary Club has helped a number of charities, locally and globally, and has provided scholarships to promising students for college and professional/technical training over many years, that improved lives of people in need and communities.
