Mr. Amador Show showcases the talents of Amador Valley High School's 10 most upstanding boys, as well as an auction.
Mr. Amador is a volunteer program run solely by students from Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton, California. It consists of ten of the school’s most upstanding boys and thirty hand selected committee members. We organize many long term fundraisers throughout the school year and a male pageant in April, with all the proceeds benefiting the George Mark Children’s House in San Leandro, California.
The George Mark Children’s House is the first, free-standing non-profit pediatric palliative care center that serves as a median between hospital and home for children with life limiting diseases. The House specializes in respite care, transitional care, end-of-life care, and bereavement care. They provide excellent medical care while emphasizing quality of life in a compassionate and supportive atmosphere. No patient or family member will ever receive a bill, so George Mark relies largely on the generosity of individuals, foundations, and corporate donors for approximately 80% of their operating budget. Only a portion of their actual costs are funded by reimbursements from Medi-Cal and insurance companies.
We are proud to have supported this organization for over fifteen years, each time raising more money than the last. This past year, Mr. Amador succeeded in over $40,000 and we are inspired to carry on this outstanding legacy.
Please join us at our 2022 show to support Mr. Amador. The show will include talent performances, live and silent auctions, guest speakers, and much more!
