ARVADA, CO — Arvada city facilities are set to close Monday for in-person services amid an increase in coronavirus cases, officials announced Friday.
Access to city facilities will be available by appointment only, the city said. The closures do not include Arvada police community stations.
Special event permits are suspended through 2020, and block party permits are suspended until further notice, officials said. Outdoor recreational amenities remain open with public health guidelines in place; however, Westwoods and Lake Arbor clubhouses are closed, with some dining take-out services available.
"The pandemic remains a rapidly evolving situation with a marked increase in COVID-19 cases in our community," the city said in a news release.
"Residents and visitors to Arvada are urged to take personal responsibility for helping protect themselves, their families and the community. Practice the three Ws: wear a mask, watch your distance and wash your hands."
