WHEAT RIDGE, CO — Four more people have been charged in connection with the shooting death of 17-year-old Nimijah Pimental in Wheat Ridge, the 1st Judicial District Attorney's Office announced Thursday. The first arrest in the case was made in April.
Sincere Mario Trujillo, 18, and Esteban Ryan Lucero, 19, have each been charged with 14 counts, including first-degree murder, the DA's office said. Two juveniles — a boy and a girl — have also been charged with multiple counts, including first-degree murder. Both face the possibility of being charged as adults, officials said.
On April 13, Wheat Ridge police were called to Panorama Park, at 33rd Avenue and Chase Street. They found Pimental on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead, according to an affidavit.
