Man Charged In Connection With Deadly DUI Crash In Arvada

ARVADA, CO — A man is accused of causing a deadly crash in Arvada that left one woman dead and a family of four injured. Alan Russell Brazulis, 32, faces multiple counts, including vehicular homicide - DUI, child abuse, vehicular assault and driving without a license, the 1st Judicial District Attorney's Office said. On July 26, an Arvada police officer was driving west on Oberon Road behind a Toyota 4 Runner, when he saw a white Pontiac coming towards him in the wrong lane, the DA's office said. The Pontiac, driven by Brazulis, collided with the 4 Runner, according to officials. Griffin Korosec, 41, was a passenger in Brazulis' car and she died in the crash. There was a family of four in the 4Runner — two adults and two young children — all of whom were injured. He was taken to Jefferson County Jail, and his first court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 1.
