Researchers at the VA San Diego are looking for minority Veterans to discuss experiences with mental health treatment, and decision-making specifically. Veterans will also give the research team feedback on how to tailor a group therapy to better fit the needs of Veterans of color. By understanding the specific experiences, preferences, and values of Veterans of color, we hope to improve the experience that Veterans of color have when making mental health treatment decisions with providers. Participants receive: $25 gift cards for each of four (4) assessment you complete, equaling $100 if you complete all assessments. Location: Virtual (National across the US). You are eligible if you are: A US Veteran. Black/African American, Native/Indigenous, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, Pacific Islander, or mixed race/ethnicity. Meet criteria for schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, delusional disorder, bipolar I, bipolar II, and/or major depressive disorder. Currently participate or previously participated in VA mental health services for at least 6 months. Speak and read English.
