Sierra Peaks Winery is a boutique winery nestled at 3200′ in the beautiful southern Sierra foothills, within the Squaw Valley-Miramonte American Viticultural Area. Sierra Peaks Winery specializes in unique varietals including Aglianico, Mourvèdre, and one of the first plantings of Carménere in California. Christine Owner/Vintner/Vineyard Manager– In 2004, I found an opportunity to use my degree in agriculture. In 2006 we planted some of the first Carménere wine grapes in California. Sierra Peaks Winery opened in 2014 and I was able to utilize some of the chemistry I learned at UC Davis. I hope you enjoy the wine!
