Luncheon benefitting the Live Oak Public Library Foundation, with special guest Stratton Leopold. Join the Live Oak Public Libraries Foundation for a luncheon at the Chatham Club on May 18, 2022 featuring special guest Stratton Leopold, who will be discussing his life and family history as chronicled in Leopold’s Ice Cream: A Century of Tasty Memories 1919-2019, written by best-selling author and editor Melanie Bowden. Mr. Leopold is a renowned ice cream maker and Hollywood film producer, whose family opened the original Leopold’s Ice Cream at the corner of Gwinnett and Habersham Streets in 1919. Mr. Leopold has served as an executive vice president for Paramount Pictures and the producer of films such as The General’s Daughter, The Sum of All Fears, Paycheck, and Mission Impossible III, among many others. Proceeds from the luncheon will benefit the Live Oak Public Libraries Foundation, which raises funds to supplement programs envisioned and provided by the Live Oak Public Libraries.
