Handy man needed to fix up boat interior and exterior

Description

I’m looking to hire a Jack of all trades handy man with boat experience for 3 full days this week for $750-$1000. My dear uncle is dying of lung cancer, and he gave me his boat, a 1986 Bayliner Cruiser. He loves being on his boat more than anything. He probably has less than a month to live, and is currently in the hospital. I’m not the handiest person, and I need someone who can help/guide/take the lead on fixing up the interior and exterior of the boat. My hope is to take him out one last time on his boat — the one that he used to take me out on as a kid. He never had any children of his own, and I feel, not like a son to him really, but a really special Newphew. I already have a mechanic who is working on getting it running. Some of the fixes include: - reinstalling the stainless steel railing, by re-screwing the bases. - hooking up some new interior lights - making sure the exterior lights are working. - replacing curtains… problem solving how to add new curtains. - restaining the tweak wood and repainting some of the exterior wood panels - helping me figure out other improvements we can make So it’s an eclectic mix of work. Like I said I am not handy. I will be staying on the boat for the week, and I’d like someone who can work three full days with me, this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. 4/6-4/8 I prefer someone who has experience with boats. If the mechanic gets it running, maybe you can even help me captian the boat to get it hauled out to get the bottom cleaned. I’ll pay a daily rate, and hope I find someone who can appreciate what I’m trying to do for my uncle, and who will put care into the work. I will be your full time assistant. I will imagine this will involve making assessments and going shopping for materials together. I will pay for all the materials obviously. I will pay $250-300/day
